Earn your Master of Arts in Education in Principal Leadership and satisfy principal licensure requirements at the same time. Developed by rural administrators and FLC faculty, this program was built specifically for educational leaders serving rural and culturally diverse communities in Colorado, New Mexico, and the broader Four Corners region.
Principal Leadership — Tuition & fees
Tuition is $419 per credit hour plus $84.90 in mandatory fees, for a total of $503.90 per credit hour. There is no difference in rate for Colorado residents and students from other states.
Note: The Principal Leadership internship course includes an additional $500 course fee. A $50 application fee and $150 confirmation fee apply upon enrollment.

Since the program launched in 2020, FLC has extended its reach across the Four Corners region — training educational leaders who understand the communities they serve. This is a highly personalized program: small cohorts, experienced instructors, and mentorship from people who know rural and tribal school systems from the inside.
