Teacher Education Graduate Programs

We have offered high quality teacher education courses and strong school district partnerships for over 100 years in the Four Corners region. Graduates of both undergraduate and graduate programs strongly impact student achievement in classrooms and provide critical leadership and reform in schools and districts around the region.

Teacher Licensure

Earn a Master of Arts in Education (MAE) and meet Colorado’s licensure requirements to teach in public schools. While we do not offer an Early Childhood and Elementary Education MAE, this program prepares you for K-12 or Secondary licensure. You will need to have earned your bachelor’s degree before starting this program. If you are already licensed to teach, consider one of our other graduate programs.

Culturally & Linguistically Diverse Education

Earn your Master of Arts in Education: Culturally and Linguistically Diverse Education while also obtaining your Culturally and Linguistically Diverse Endorsement in Colorado or your Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages (TESOL) endorsement in New Mexico.

Special Education

Choose from three options in the area of special education: Earn your Master of Arts in Education: Special Education to augment your teaching license and work with students with disabilities in US public schools. We offer three programs, including an option to complete alternative licensure requirements while working in a Special Education classroom.
